Peter Galvin is Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Thales eSecurity where he is responsible for providing the vision and leadership for all marketing-led initiatives. He drives the vision for key functional areas including marketing, communications, product marketing, sales enablement, lead generation, business development and brand and marketing operations to achieve the company’s business and financial growth objectives.
Peter brings over 20 years of experience in strategic marketing in the technology industry having previously held senior leadership roles with security, mobile and internet infrastructure companies including Chief Marketing Officer at Proofpoint , SVP of Marketing and Products at Openwave, and VP and General Manager at Inktomi. He also has global experience in leading corporate marketing, channel marketing, product marketing and product line portfolio strategy. Peter holds a Master of Business Administration, Marketing, from Clark University in Worcester, MA.
Dean Vincent is a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with more than 20 years of financial leadership experience. In his role at Thales e-Security, Dean leads a team of finance professionals around the globe providing strategic, operational and analytical insight to the business. He brings a wealth of experience to the business having held senior financial leadership roles in the aerospace, defense and service industries.
Phil Naybour is an experienced leader with more than 30 years global experience in a variety of sectors in the technology industry. As Chief Operating Officer for Thales e-Security he oversees ongoing business operations within the company. His responsibilities also include functional management of global supply chain, order fulfilment and delivery, quality, project management office, and the company’s IT and information systems.
Phil has previously led activities in UK, France, Asia and the US. Within Thales Group he has gained experience of many sectors of the technology industry covering a wide variety of business models. This includes leading Thales Helicopter Avionics business line in France, leading Thales workshare for the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier project for UK MoD, and running Thales UK naval businesses as well as Managing Director of the Thales e-Security business line. Prior to Thales Phil held leadership positions at Racal Asia, Unisys Hong Kong and IBM UK.
Phil is a Director of Thales UK Ltd. and is on the management board of the Thales SIX Global Business Unit. He holds a bachelor of science and bachelor of economics in engineering management from University of Manchester, UK.
Olivier Genicot is Global Vice President Legal, responsible for all Thales e-Security’s legal matters. Previously he served as the Legal Director Mergers and Acquisitions with Thales Group where he led M&A transactions from divestitures; joint ventures to large acquisitions in all countries where Thales operates; structuring, negotiating and resolving closing and post-closing issues. He also drove corporate governance initiatives and provided legal support to business, strategy, finance, treasury, and tax and risk management organizations.
Earlier in his career, Olivier held roles with leading global law firms Skadden Arps and Fried Frank where he specialized in M&A, representing publicly and privately held multinational corporations and financial advisors on domestic and cross-border transactions, project finance and corporate restructuring.
Olivier is admitted to the bar in New York and Massachusetts. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif (top 10% of the graduating class). He holds a bachelor’s degree in international economics from UCLA, with a summa cum laude distinction.
As Vice President Global Customer Success, Nigel Bowdery is responsible for the successful adoption of Thales e-Security’s solutions by its customers. In this capacity Nigel acts as the customer advocate and ensures that the Thales e-Security team deliver the desired outcome and proven value quickly to its customers. The customer success programme is designed to increase retention, value delivered and customer loyalty. The professional services, sales engineering and technical support functions all fall under his lead. These teams consistently demonstrate and in-depth knowledge of our customers’ requirements, detailed product knowledge and extensive domain expertise and are highly regarded by our customers around the world.
Nigel has been with Thales for more than 10 years in a number of business management and leadership roles. Prior to joining Thales he worked in the defense and aerospace industry delivering highly complex international programmes for Alenia Marconi Systems and BAE Systems.
Jon Geater is Chief Technology Officer for Thales e-Security where he is responsible for product security and technology strategy, designing technical and cryptographic solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of cyber security threats.
In a career dedicated to high-tech and cryptographic security, Jon has held senior global roles in leading companies such as nCipher (Director of Technical Strategy), ARM (Director of Technology and Division CTO, Secure Services Division) and Trustonic (founding Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President Engineering). Through these roles, he has designed, built and overseen leading edge solutions for a wide variety of industries such as mobile, IoT, payments and smart cities and at every level of the technology stack from the fabric of the smallest microchips to the largest cloud systems.
A keen supporter of open standards, Jon has been a board director and chair of the Security Task Force at GlobalPlatform, served on the Operational Efficiency Committee at Trusted Computing Group, and was a founder author of the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) at OASIS.
As CEO of Thales eSecurity, Cindy Provin is responsible for leading a world-class team of data security professionals in its mission to be the undisputed leader in advanced data security solutions, delivering trust wherever information is created, shared or stored.
Cindy has a proven track record of leading and directing a high growth, profitable data security organization having served as President, Thales eSecurity, Inc. and Vice President of Global Strategy and Marketing for Thales eSecurity for the past 15 years. She established Thales eSecurity as a world leader in data security and market leader in hardware security modules and had a leadership role in two major acquisitions undertaken by Thales: nCipher (2008) and more recently Vormetric (2016).
Prior to Thales, Cindy served as Vice President of the Product Division for Racal Data Group, managing the product operations in the Americas. She holds a bachelor's degree in business from University of Miami and an MBA from Lewis University in Chicago, Illinois.
Derek Tumulak serves as Vice President of Global Product Management at Thales e-Security, where he drives overall product direction and vision.
Derek joins Thales e-Security following its acquisition of Vormetric where he served as Vice President of Product Management. Prior to Vormetric, he was Vice President of Product Management at SafeNet, having joined the organization through the acquisition of Ingrian Networks in 2008.
In addition to building great products and solutions for enterprises, governments, and cloud service providers, Derek is a technical advisor to several organizations in Silicon Valley. He holds a bachelor of applied science degree in computer engineering from University of Waterloo, Ontario.
As Vice President Global Human Resources, Susan Leonard is responsible for all functions that touch Thales e-Security’s most important asset: its people. This includes enabling Thales to achieve its business objectives by providing an environment that maximizes our employees’ contributions. Susan’s areas of expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, change management, transformative organizational development, culture building, talent acquisition, development and implementation of HR infrastructure, and compensation.
During her HR career, Susan held multiple leadership roles in diverse high technology environments ranging from start-ups through publicly traded companies. Prior to joining Thales, she served as Vice President of HR for Vormetric, Global Vice President of HR for Hansen Medical, and held various HR management positions at First Medical, Inc., Guidant Corporation and Credo Long Distance. At Vormetric, she led all aspects of employee-related activities related to the acquisition and integration of Vormetric by Thales.
Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s in business administration from Columbia University.
Ashvin Kamaraju became Vice President Global Engineering at Thales e-Security following its acquisition of Vormetric. He leads a geographically distributed engineering organization that develops a broad portfolio of leading edge data security products which meet rigorous security standards and are suitable for deployment in the enterprise, private and public clouds. These products help thousands of customers world-wide protect their data from breaches and comply with a large number of regulatory requirements.
Ashvin is an experienced leader with a proven track record, having more than 25 years of software development experience with domain experience in storage management, operating systems, big data security, encryption and key management.
Prior to joining Vormetric, Ashvin spent four years as General Manager and Vice President of Engineering at Symantec Corporation, where he led the development of a portfolio of enterprise storage software products. Earlier in his career Ashvin worked at Sun Microsystems as a member of technical staff and engineering manager where he contributed to the Solaris operating system software for SPARCstations and led the development efforts for file and proxy cache servers. He has a MSCE and a master's in mathematics and computer science from the University of Cincinnati.
